FUNDRAISING

Since the Stalnaker Family Association is a non-profit organization, fund-raising is the only source of revenue for projects such as the log cabin restoration, cemetery up keep, annual reunion, and for updating the Chronology of the Stalnaker Family in America in the future. There are many ways in which members or an interested individual may contribute to the fund raising efforts. Currently the Stalnaker Log Cabin Restoration project is the main focus of fund-raising efforts. Projects needing to be addressed include flooring on the first floor and the stair way to the second floor. Recently the temparary roof began leaking. It was imperative that we complete the installation of a permanent roof with cedar shakes. A roof is needed over the front and back doors for protection with the possibility of gutters. The RCHS estimates that we will need an additional $15,000 to complete the structure. Please select: Cabin Restoration to find out more information on the progress of this project. The annual auction that takes place at the reunion in Beverly, West Virginia each year is another form of fund-raising that you could become involved with. Please donate items for the auction or solicit donated items from regional vendors. In addition, volunteers are always needed to assist in fund-raising efforts.
